 STOP EMBARRASSING PRESIDENT TINUBU, ACCORD MEDIA CENTRE TASKS AMBO/OYETOLA

Both the Marine Minister, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, should stop embarrassing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by their divisive and cantankerous conduct, their legacies of failure while in government, their disgusting public service records, and their destruction of their own party platform through arrogance and incompetence.

As the days pass by, the minister and his handpicked candidate act increasingly like bulls in a china shop, like a dethroned king still acting like the owner of the palace, and like an unwanted man in town still attempting to sing in the town square.

After failing re-election due to failure and incompetence, the minister disruptively forced a lackey on Osun APC as a candidate and started fighting everybody who is clearly a supporter of President Tinubu and who commands strong support in their various districts.

As the Minister behaves like a bully without strength and like a leader without clout, his imposed candidate reinforces his own incompetence with weak outings as a candidate and with very low capacity to mobilise either for himself or the re-election of Mr President.

Those who love the president within and outside the APC have, however, overlooked the minister and his candidate and proceeded to support what Osun people want, the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke, a man who commands the grassroots of Osun politics, a man who has the endorsement of the Osun labour movement, the Osun pension movement, the Osun cooperative movement, the Osun artisans movement, the Osun teachers’ movement, the Osun farmers’ movement, the Osun students movement, among others.

Validated political intelligence reports from within and outside the APC, from within Accord and other platforms, and from security reports confirm and affirm that the most popular, the most entrenched, and most electable candidate for August 15 is Governor Ademola Adeleke.

We charge Mr Oyetola and his candidate to stop embarrassing President Tinubu by his throwing tantrums around, by his incapacity as a team worker, by sordid public service records, and by confirmed unpopularity among Osun workers and voters.
